The Amethyst Initiative seeks to revist the debate on the legal drinking age, and encourages lawmakers to lower it (to possibly 18 years old).

I feel that they should not lower the age because it whould mean that younger kids would feel that it is okay to drink. so i say NO

Things are bad enough with the age at 21. Lowering this set age would enable irresponsible teenagers to have this lethal weapon in their possession and send the message that it is ok. Maybe law writers should consider raising the age before they consider lowering it….

The older we get, we are able to make better decisions. However, at any age alcohol affects those decisions. If the drinking age is lowered, I believe DWI’s and alcohol related accidents will occur more and more frequently. There are too many deaths related to alcohol right now, so if anything, we should be raising the drinking age.
